Restaurant Support Worker

Job Summary

Culinary Dropout is seeking a friendly, dependable, and team-oriented Restaurant Support Worker to assist with daily restaurant operations and help provide a welcoming dining experience. This role supports guest service, food and beverage service, order preparation, cleanliness, restocking, and general restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional assistance.
• Assist team members with food and beverage orders and communicate special requests.
• Support the preparation, packaging, and delivery of restaurant menu items.
• Assist with portioning, plating, and assembling food orders as needed.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and courteously.
• Help ensure orders are accurate, complete, and properly presented.
• Answer basic guest questions about menu items and direct detailed questions to appropriate team members.
• Assist with point-of-sale transactions and customer service as needed.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables throughout service.
• Maintain clean and organized dining areas, counters, service stations, and workspaces.
• Restock food ingredients, beverages, utensils, napkins, containers, and other restaurant supplies.
• Assist kitchen and front-of-house team members during busy service periods.
• Help prepare service stations and work areas before and during shifts.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures.
• Handle food, equipment, dishes, and restaurant supplies carefully and responsibly.
• Communicate supply needs, guest concerns, and service issues to supervisors.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general restaurant duties.
• Support smooth communication and teamwork across the restaurant.
• Help maintain consistent food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and service standards.
• Perform other restaurant support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, dependable, and professional attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to learn restaurant procedures and service standards.

About Culinary Dropout

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.0 per week
