Job Summary

Power Plate Meals is hiring a Restaurant Takeout Worker to support daily takeout, customer service, and food service operations. This role assists with receiving orders, preparing and packaging meals, processing payments, coordinating with kitchen staff, and ensuring customers receive accurate and timely takeout service.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service
• Receive dine-in, takeout, pickup, and phone orders accurately
• Enter customer orders into the POS system
• Communicate order details and special requests to kitchen staff
• Monitor order preparation and coordinate pickup times
• Verify completed orders for accuracy and completeness
• Package meals, beverages, and other food items securely
• Process cash, credit, debit, and other approved payment transactions
• Answer customer questions about menu items and orders
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked takeout service area
• Restock containers, bags, utensils, condiments, receipts, and other supplies
• Assist with delivery and pickup order coordination as needed
• Follow food safety, sanitation, cash-handling, and workplace safety procedures
• Assist with opening, closing, and general restaurant duties

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous restaurant, takeout, food service, retail, or customer service experience is an asset but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic math and payment-handling abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and order accuracy
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Ability to stand for extended periods and multitask

Preferred Skills

• Experience with takeout, pickup, or restaurant service operations
• Familiarity with POS and order-processing systems
• Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities
• Good organization and time management skills
• Ability to coordinate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
