Restaurant Team Member

Position Overview

Off the Hook of Yonkers is seeking a friendly, dependable, and energetic Restaurant Team Member to support daily restaurant operations and deliver excellent guest service. The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively with coworkers, and is willing to assist with different restaurant duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service
• Assist with taking and serving food and beverage orders
• Support front-of-house and kitchen operations as needed
• Maintain clean and organized dining and service areas
• Process customer payments accurately using the POS system
• Assist with food preparation and order assembly when required
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards
• Work closely with team members to ensure smooth restaurant service

Duties

• Greet guests and assist with seating or general requests
• Take dine-in, takeout, and beverage orders accurately
• Serve food and beverages promptly
• Set, clear, and reset tables
• Package takeout and delivery orders
• Restock food, beverages, utensils, and service supplies
• Maintain dining areas, service stations, and workspaces
• Assist with opening, closing, and cleaning procedures
• Report guest concerns and operational issues to management

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, seafood, hospitality, café, or customer service experience preferred
• Experience as a Server, Host, Food Runner, Busser, Cashier, or Restaurant Team Member is an asset
• Basic POS and cash-handling knowledge is a plus
• Food Handler or Food Safety Certification is an advantage
• Entry-level candidates with a positive attitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
