Duties

• Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Operate POS systems such as Shift4 for processing customer orders, sales transactions, and cash handling accurately.
• Manage customer orders efficiently by taking orders, upselling menu items, and providing friendly service to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace by sanitizing surfaces, cleaning kitchen equipment, and properly storing ingredients to uphold food safety standards.
• Handle cash register operations including processing cash transactions, giving change, and balancing registers at shift end.
• Assist with food safety management by following sanitation protocols, proper food handling procedures, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
• Support team members in bussing tables, maintaining sanitation in dining areas, and operating kitchen equipment safely for smooth restaurant operations.

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation and food service environments, including quick service or fast-food restaurants.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Shift4 POS for efficient order processing and sales management.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks swiftly during busy hours without compromising quality.
• Excellent customer service abilities with a friendly attitude that makes guests feel welcome and valued.
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling, order totaling, and inventory counting.
• Knowledge of food safety practices including proper sanitation, food handling procedures, and kitchen safety protocols.
• Experience operating kitchen equipment such as fryers, grills, ovens or coffee machines is a plus; culinary experience is highly valued.

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
