Job Summary

Balan's is seeking a friendly, dependable, and motivated Restaurant Team Member to support daily restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will help create a welcoming atmosphere for guests, assist with food and beverage service, maintain clean dining areas, and work closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff. This position is suitable for someone who enjoys hospitality, communicates well, and can contribute to a positive team environment during busy service periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and help provide a friendly dining experience.
• Assist with seating, table preparation, and dining room organization as needed.
• Support servers by delivering food and beverages promptly.
• Clear and reset tables while maintaining clean service areas.
• Assist with basic food preparation or kitchen duties when assigned.
• Restock utensils, napkins, condiments, and other service supplies.
• Communicate guest requests and special instructions to the appropriate team members.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the dining room and shared workspaces.
• Follow restaurant procedures for food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene.
• Coordinate with servers, hosts, bartenders, and kitchen staff to support efficient service.
• Help prepare the restaurant for opening and complete closing duties as assigned.
• Respond professionally to guest needs and seek assistance from a supervisor when necessary.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not always required.
• Strong communication and guest-service skills.
• Friendly attitude and professional conduct.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependability, punctuality, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well with a team.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry supplies safely.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
