Restaurant Team Member - Evening Shift

Pizza World Cedar Rapids is hiring a reliable, customer-focused team member for evening restaurant operations and closing shifts.

We’re looking for someone who understands that excellent customer service is just as important as great food. Every customer should feel acknowledged, welcomed, and appreciated, whether they’re dining in, picking up an order, or enjoying a beer at our Voodoo Brewing Co. taproom.

This is a hands-on position requiring teamwork, attention to detail, and a willingness to assist with all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, customer service, cleaning, and closing duties.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, prompt, and attentive service to dine-in and carryout customers.
• Welcome guests, take orders accurately, answer menu questions, and provide a positive dining experience.
• Handle customer concerns respectfully and work toward appropriate solutions.
• Prepare food and assist with kitchen operations throughout the shift.
• Pour and serve beer, verify customer identification, and follow responsible alcohol service procedures.
• Maintain clean dining areas by regularly clearing, washing, and sanitizing tables.
• Wash dishes, clean equipment, and maintain organized kitchen and service areas.
• Restock ingredients, beverages, packaging, and other necessary supplies.
• Assist coworkers during busy periods to maintain smooth and efficient service.
• Complete assigned closing responsibilities, including dishes, cleaning, sanitizing, organizing, and preparing the restaurant for the following day.
• Follow company procedures for food safety, cleanliness, and cash handling.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for independent alcoholic beverage service responsibilities.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Reliable attendance and a willingness to take initiative.
• Ability to remain professional, organized, and helpful in a busy restaurant environment.
• Willingness to perform cleaning, dishwashing, food preparation, and closing duties.
• Ability to work collaboratively and assist in different areas of the restaurant.
• Previous food service or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with craft beer, taproom operations, or beer service is a plus, but not required.

Schedule

• Evening shifts, including availability for closing responsibilities.
• Must be available to remain after regular closing hours as scheduled to complete cleaning and closing procedures.
• Hours and scheduling based on business needs and employee availability.

Pay: $7.25 - $15.00 per hour
