Restaurant Training Head

ABOUT THE ROLE

Standard Hospitality Group (SHG) is looking for a passionate, people-focused, and results-driven Restaurant Training Manager to lead the development and execution of Front-of-House (FOH) learning and capability programs across our growing restaurant brands.

This role will play a critical part in building service excellence, strengthening operational capabilities, and ensuring consistent guest experiences across all stores. The successful candidate will lead the design of scalable training frameworks, certification programs, and operational standards that equip our restaurant teams with the skills and confidence to deliver exceptional hospitality. Beyond training delivery, this role will partner closely with Operations and other key functions to translate business priorities into practical, measurable, and impactful learning solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of FOH training strategies, programs, and certification frameworks across SHG brands
• Build scalable learning programs that support service excellence, operational consistency, and career development
• Establish training standards, competency frameworks, and certification requirements for various FOH roles
• Identify capability gaps and develop targeted interventions to address performance and operational needs
• Ensure consistent application of hospitality, service, and operational standards across stores
• Conduct training sessions, skills assessments, certifications, and operational validations to ensure team readiness
• Partner with Operations to identify recurring performance gaps and translate these into actionable training solutions
• Support new store openings, brand launches, operational rollouts, and process improvements
• Monitor and analyze training dashboards, certification results, guest feedback, operational KPIs, and store performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Lead, coach, and develop the FOH Training Team, building a high-performing and service-oriented learning organization

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Human Resource Development, Education, Business, or a related field
• 10-15 years of progressive experience in restaurant operations, hospitality training, learning and development, or capability development
• Strong understanding of restaurant FOH operations, hospitality standards, service excellence, and people development
• Proven experience designing and implementing multi-store or multi-brand training programs
• Experience in training certification, competency assessment, and operational validation is highly preferred
• Strong facilitation, presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to use training data, dashboards, and operational metrics to drive improvements
• Proficient in digital learning platforms, training systems, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, and other productivity tools
• Highly adaptable, collaborative, and results-oriented, with a genuine passion for hospitality, people development, and operational excellence
