Restaurant Utility Associate

Job Summary
Forage Public House is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Restaurant Utility Associate to support daily kitchen and restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will assist with dishwashing, cleaning, food preparation, restocking, sanitation, and general restaurant support while helping maintain a clean, organized, and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain clean and organized dishwashing and utility areas throughout service.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation and ingredient handling as needed.
• Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces, equipment, floors, and work areas.
• Remove trash and recycling and maintain proper waste-disposal procedures.
• Restock dishes, utensils, containers, cleaning supplies, and other restaurant materials.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing food and restaurant supplies.
• Help transport ingredients and supplies between storage and kitchen areas.
• Maintain proper organization of kitchen storage and utility areas.
• Support cooks, servers, and other restaurant team members during busy service periods.
• Assist with clearing and cleaning dining areas when needed.
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, chemical-use, and workplace safety procedures.
• Monitor cleaning and utility supplies and report shortages to management.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and routine restaurant procedures.
• Help maintain equipment and report damage, malfunctions, or maintenance concerns.
• Perform other general kitchen and restaurant support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, kitchen, dishwasher, or food service experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning, sanitation, and safe food-handling practices.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and workplace safety.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and established sanitation procedures.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks during busy service periods.
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving for extended periods.
• Ability to safely handle cleaning supplies and commercial kitchen equipment.
• Willingness to assist with a variety of kitchen and restaurant responsibilities.

• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
