SERVICE CREW / WAITER

Job Summary
Responsible for providing excellent customer service, taking and serving food and beverage orders, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, and ensuring customers have a pleasant dining experience. Works closely with kitchen staff, supervisors, and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet customers warmly upon arrival.
• Escort customers to their tables and provide menus when required.
• Explain menu items, promotions, and daily specials to customers.
• Take customers’ food and beverage orders accurately.
• Enter orders into the POS system correctly.
• Confirm special requests, allergies, and dietary requirements with customers.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
• Check on customers during their meals to ensure satisfaction.
• Respond to customer questions and requests in a polite and helpful manner.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and report serious issues to the supervisor.
• Clear and clean tables promptly after customers leave.
• Set up tables with cutlery, glasses, napkins, menus, and other necessary items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
• Clean service stations, counters, and other assigned areas.
• Refill water, condiments, napkins, and other dining supplies when necessary.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared and served correctly.
• Check food orders before serving to ensure accuracy and proper presentation.
• Assist with packing takeaway and delivery orders when required.
• Process customer payments and operate the cash register/POS system when assigned.
• Handle cash, credit/debit card, and other payment methods accurately.
• Provide receipts to customers and assist with billing inquiries.
• Follow proper cash-handling and company procedures.
• Restock food, beverage, and service supplies.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and managers.
• Work effectively as part of a team during busy periods.
• Assist other departments or colleagues when necessary.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or restaurant manager.

General Duties

The Service Crew / Waiter is expected to maintain high standards of customer service, cleanliness, food safety, and professionalism while supporting the daily operations of the restaurant. The employee should follow all company policies and procedures and contribute to a positive experience for customers and colleagues.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,300.00 per month
