What they need

We're looking for an Insurance Restoration Coordinator to join our office team in Nailsworth.

When someone's home has been damaged by fire or flood, there's a lot to organise. Customers need updates, technicians need coordinating, appointments need arranging and plans can change quickly.

We're looking for someone who enjoys keeping things organised, solving problems and making sure everything keeps moving.

You'll manage your own restoration jobs, working with customers, insurers, loss adjusters and technicians from start to finish.

You don't need insurance experience — we'll teach you that. We need someone organised, confident, good with people and comfortable using computers.

WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT

You'll be joining a small team where your work has a very visible impact. Our technology helps with the process and diary management, but it doesn't replace good judgement, communication or ownership.

Some days will be planned. Other days an urgent fire or flood claim will arrive and the priorities will change. If you're someone who likes solving problems, organising people and finishing the day knowing you've genuinely moved things forward, this could be a great fit.

THE ROLE

You'll manage your own allocation of insurance restoration claims while working closely with two other Claims Handlers, our Financial Coordinator and Operations Manager.

  • Keeping your claims moving from initial instruction through the restoration process.
  • Speaking with policyholders, insurers, loss adjusters, technicians and other parties.
  • Organising technician visits and responding when diaries or priorities suddenly change.
  • Working across our AI-supported job-management system, insurer portals and other systems.
  • Monitoring deadlines and insurer SLAs and making sure actions don't get missed.
  • Preparing quotes and invoicing information, with checking and support from our Financial Coordinator.
  • Keeping claim notes, photographs, reports and records accurate and up to date.
  • Helping with colleagues' claims when they're unavailable - and making sure they can do the same for you.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We can teach you how fire and flood restoration claims work. The harder things to teach are the qualities we're actually recruiting for:

  • You're very comfortable with computers and can learn new systems quickly.
  • You can have several things happening at once without losing track of the detail.
  • You've worked in a busy, fast-paced environment and enjoy having plenty to do.
  • You solve problems and take ownership rather than waiting for somebody else to sort them.
  • You're confident on the phone and communicate clearly in writing.
  • You can be sympathetic and reassuring with somebody whose property has just suffered serious damage.
  • You can also be firm, professional and clear when expectations need managing.
  • You stay calm when plans change and can quickly reprioritise.
  • You're a team player - 'that's not my claim' isn't how our office works.

EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in insurance, claims handling, restoration, scheduling, customer service, logistics or another coordination-heavy role would be an advantage, but it isn't a requirement.

If you've come from a busy office, contact centre, scheduling team, property business, service company or another environment where you had to organise people and information while looking after customers, we'd be interested in hearing from you.
