Restoration Equipment Technician

Steam Team Emergency Services is looking for a dependable, hardworking Restoration Equipment Technician to join our growing team! This position is responsible for picking up and delivering water mitigation equipment from job sites, cleaning and maintaining equipment, and ensuring everything is in proper working condition and ready for use.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, staying organized, and helping keep daily operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and retrieve drying equipment from residential and commercial job sites.
• Transport dehumidifiers, air movers, air scrubbers, and other restoration equipment safely.
• Clean, inspect, test, and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Identify damaged or malfunctioning equipment and report any issues that require repair.
• Organize and maintain equipment in the warehouse, shop, and company vehicles.
• Load and unload equipment safely.
• Assist field technicians with equipment preparation and job-site needs as necessary.
• Keep the shop and equipment storage areas clean and organized.
• Maintain accurate equipment inventory and communicate when supplies or repairs are needed.
• Follow company safety procedures and handle equipment responsibly.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment.
• Comfortable working with tools and performing basic equipment maintenance.
• Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with the team.
• Previous experience in restoration, maintenance, warehouse work, delivery, or equipment repair is a plus, but not required.
