Blue Kangaroo Packoutz of Columbus helps homeowners and businesses recover after fire, water, and other property damage by carefully packing, documenting, cleaning, storing, and returning their belongings.

We’re looking for a Contents Project Manager who can lead people, organize moving parts, and take responsibility for a job from the initial walkthrough through the final delivery. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who communicates clearly, follows through, and treats customers’ belongings with care.

What You’ll Do

• Manage projects from start to finish: Coordinate initial walkthroughs, inventories, packouts, cleaning, storage, and packbacks.
• Lead crews in the field: Set expectations, assign tasks, train employees, monitor progress, and work alongside the team when needed.
• Plan the work: Identify staffing, vehicles, supplies, equipment, and access requirements. Coordinate schedules with field, warehouse, and office leadership.
• Communicate with customers and partners: Keep homeowners, restoration contractors, adjusters, and management informed about progress, next steps, and concerns.
• Own the documentation: Ensure accurate inventories, photographs, item condition notes, storage locations, labor records, and material usage.
• Protect quality and property: Verify proper packing, handling, cleaning, loading, and delivery practices. Address damage, missing items, and service concerns promptly.
• Keep projects on track: Monitor labor and materials against the scope, identify changes early, and provide documentation needed for estimates and billing.
• Maintain safe jobsites: Reinforce safe lifting, PPE use, equipment operation, and company procedures.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience leading crews or managing projects in contents restoration, moving, mitigation, or a related service business.
• Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to manage several active jobs while maintaining accurate records and meeting commitments.
• Confidence handling customer concerns with patience, professionalism, and empathy.
• Comfort using mobile apps, taking jobsite photos, and maintaining digital inventories.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to meet company driving requirements.
• Ability to perform the essential physical duties of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation, including packing, lifting, carrying, using stairs, and working in affected properties.
• Availability for occasional emergency, evening, or weekend work as project needs require.

Preferred: Experience with iCat, PSA, Xactimate, contents inventory systems, or IICRC training.
