Restoration Technician

We're looking for an experienced Restoration Technician to join a boutique insurance restoration team based in South Sydney.

The role will suit someone with at least 2 years' experience in restoration who enjoys hands on work and understands the processes involved in restoring properties following water, fire, mould and other damage.

You'll be working across a range of residential and commercial insurance claims, with a mix of site work, equipment management, reporting and communication with clients and other stakeholders.

The role

• Attend sites following water, fire, mould, storm and other property damage claims.
• Carry out water extraction, structural drying and moisture monitoring.
• Undertake mould remediation, fire and smoke cleaning, and strip-out works as required.
• Set up, monitor and collect restoration equipment.
• Take site photos, record moisture readings and complete job reports.
• Identify additional damage and report any variations or issues.
• Liaise with homeowners, builders, assessors and insurers.
• Follow relevant safety requirements and restoration standards.

What we're looking for

• At least 2 years' hands on experience in the restoration industry.
• Practical knowledge of water damage restoration, drying and mould remediation.
• Experience using restoration equipment and completing site documentation.
• An understanding of IICRC standards and restoration procedures.
• A professional approach when dealing with customers and other stakeholders.
• A current driver's licence and the ability to travel to sites as required.

IICRC qualifications such as WRT, ASD, AMRT or FSRT will be highly regarded, although we're open to hearing from candidates with strong practical experience who don't hold every certification.
