ReStore Associate

General Description:

Under the direction of the ReStore Director, the ReStore Associate – General Labor, is an agency Problem Solver. Broadly speaking he or she has responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of a building and the surrounding grounds. Additional responsibilities include assisting stocking materials to the sales floor, unloading donations and helping customers load their vehicle when necessary.

They make sure important details do not slip through the cracks, are incredibly well organized, make the agency look professional and ensure excellent audits, among many other things they facilitate.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities…

• Handle collection and disposal of debris generated in the Restore

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

• Ensure the store is safe and clean

• Lift objects weighing up to 70 lbs

Job Conditions…

Position is full-time (40 hours a week). Tuesday through Saturday Evening and weekend work is required. It is a non-exempt position. Conditions and benefits are contained in the board approved .

General Responsibilities…

1. Provide calm, confident, and positive to the entire organization.

2. Disseminate information readily to stakeholders as appropriate.

3. Submit accurate reports according to deadlines.

5. Ensure that your area, office, building, vehicle, trailer, etc., is clean, organized, safe, and compliant.

6. Comply with grant requirements accordingly.

7. Crosstrain with fellow staff to ensure a steady flow of business despite absences.

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Ensure that the ReStore building and property are clean, organized and safe, by performing the following duties…

· Collecting and taking out trash

· Break down boxes and pallets as necessary to maximize dumpster space

· Lawn maintenance

· Sweeping

· General housekeeping

· General facility maintenance

2. Operate equipment necessary such as forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, and lawn maintenance equipment.

3. Provide outstanding customer service to customers and donors.

4. Stock material to the sales floor in their appropriate location with proper signage when necessary.

5. Assist with loading and unloading materials when necessary.

6. Utilize available volunteers to assist with building safety and maintenance.

7. And other duties as assigned by the ReStore Managers and/or ReStore Assistant Managers

Misc:

1. Professional appearance and demeanor.

2. Pleasant speaking voice and articulation.

3. Availity to work on Saturdays and evenings as necessary.

4. ********Ability to type 40 words per minute*******

5. Valid Texas driver's license, insurance and an operational vehicle.

6. Undertake other duties as assigned.

Pay: $13.00 - $16.52 per hour
