Overview

The Døre Bar & Grill is a well-established neighbourhood restaurant in Sheffield and part of The Northern Collective — an independent hospitality, retail and leisure group operating across the Peak District and South Sheffield.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Restaurant Supervisor to join our front-of-house team.

Working closely with the General Manager and senior management team, you will take responsibility for leading the team during service and ensuring the restaurant operates smoothly, professionally and to a consistently high standard.

This role is ideally suited to someone who already has hospitality experience and is ready to take on greater responsibility. For the right person, there is a clear opportunity to develop into a more senior Assistant General Manager role as the business and wider group continue to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading and supervising the front-of-house team during service
• Opening and closing the restaurant and completing relevant procedures
• Maintaining high standards of customer service and guest experience
• Supporting the training, development and onboarding of team members
• Organising staff breaks and helping coordinate the team throughout service
• Handling guest queries and resolving issues professionally
• Ensuring health & safety, licensing and company procedures are followed
• Maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness and organisation
• Supporting the General Manager and senior management with the day-to-day running of the restaurant
• Helping create a positive, professional and well-organised working environment

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience in hospitality, ideally within a supervisory or team-leader position
• Is confident leading and motivating a team
• Remains calm, organised and professional during busy services
• Has a genuine focus on providing excellent customer service
• Communicates clearly and confidently with both guests and colleagues
• Has strong organisational skills and can manage multiple priorities effectively
• Takes responsibility and leads by example
• Is keen to learn, develop and progress within the business
• Is flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
