Resturant Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Restaurant Supervisor/Manager to join our team in Kalk Bay.

Our restaurant is busy, welcoming and customer-focused, and we're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent service.

What you'll be doing:

Service & Guest Experience

• Lead the floor during service and support waiters throughout the shift
• Welcome guests and maintain a warm, professional atmosphere
• Handle escalated customer queries calmly and confidently
• Ensure service flows smoothly during busy periods
• Monitor table turns, cleanliness and FOH organisation

Team Leadership

• Assign sections and duties to waiters
• Check uniforms and presentation standards
• Ensure all staff complete duties before leaving (FOH, bar, kitchen)
• Motivate the team and maintain a positive, collaborative environment
• Support training of new staff where needed
• Communicate clearly between FOH, bar and kitchen

Cash Management & Admin

• Handle payments and assist with cash-ups
• Maintain accurate records and report issues promptly
• Communicate shift notes, stock issues and operational concerns to management

What We’re Looking For

Experience

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in hospitality
• At least 1 year in a supervisory, shift‑leader or management role
• Strong floor experience in a busy restaurant
• Cash-up experience preferred

• Excellent spoken English and confident communication

• A valid work permit is required. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide sponsorship or work permits.

Working hours

This is a shift-based role with varying weekly hours depending on business requirements. Applicants must be available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays when required.

You are expected to arrive fully prepared for their shift, including a clean service cloth, corkscrew, notepad and pen.

Pay

The role is paid monthly at the end of each month, and staff also receive tips.
