Retail Administration & Order Support

About the role

This is a practical support role working alongside the Store Manager and sales team at Aussie BBQs & Fireplaces in Murarrie. The main purpose of the role is to make sure orders, stock, deliveries, quotes and customer follow-ups are kept up to date and nothing gets overlooked. Full time role possible to the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Checking and processing online orders
• Monitoring outstanding customer orders and special orders
• Checking incoming supplier deliveries against paperwork and purchase orders
• Recording shortages, damaged or incorrect deliveries, (ability to lift heavy goods not required)
• Ensuring received stock is correctly processed
• Keeping track of outstanding customer quotes and reminding the sales team when follow-up is required
• Following up staff regarding quotes, orders and collections
• Contacting customers when goods arrive
• Maintaining a list of goods awaiting collection
• Assisting with delivery and collection coordination

About you

• Organised and methodical
• Reliable and punctual
• Good at following tasks through to completion
• Comfortable using computers, email and basic retail systems
• Confident speaking with customers and suppliers
• Accurate with paperwork
• Comfortable reminding team members when something still needs action
• Able to work independently as well as part of a small team
• Previous experience in administration, retail, customer service, order processing, purchasing or stock control would be useful
• Experience with retail POS/inventory systems would be advantageous but is not essential
