Retail Assistant

We are currently seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Retail Assistant at Tōtara Hospice. This role is based at our Ben Lomond Retail Store and falls under the Retail department. It is a Permanent - Part Time position, offering an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for making a difference. As a Retail Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and contributing to the overall success of the retail store. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Assisting customers with their enquiries and purchases in a friendly and professional manner
• Maintaining a clean and tidy store environment, including regular stock replenishment and merchandising
• Operating the cash register and processing transactions accurately
• Supporting with inventory management, including stock take and ordering of products
• Collaborating with the team to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the store
• Adhering to company policies and procedures, particularly those related to health and safety

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine interest in supporting the mission of Tōtara Hospice. Previous retail experience is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
