Our award-winning Margaret River Mitre 10 is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Assistant to join our team on a full-time fixed-term basis until the end of January 2027.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has a passion for great customer service and wants to build their knowledge and experience within the building and retail industry.

About the Role

As a Retail Assistant, you'll play an important role in creating a great experience for every customer who visits our store. You'll assist customers with product enquiries, provide helpful advice, support sales and ensure our store and displays are presented to a high standard.

You'll work closely with our experienced team, developing your knowledge of our products and gaining valuable experience across the retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, knowledgeable and exceptional customer service.
• Assist customers with product enquiries and help them find the right products for their needs.
• Develop strong product knowledge across our hardware and building product range.
• Support sales and contribute to achieving team goals.
• Process customer transactions, quotes and orders accurately.
• Assist with stock replenishment, inventory enquiries and general store duties.
• Maintain clean, organised and visually appealing shelves and displays.
• Build positive relationships with customers and provide a welcoming store experience.
• Work collaboratively with the wider M&B team.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and company policies.

• Comfortable working in a busy retail environment.
• Keen to learn and develop their product knowledge.
• Previous retail, sales or customer service experience is highly desirable.

An interest in building, hardware, home improvement or design would be a bonus!
