Retail Assistant

We’re hiring an entry-level Retail Sales Assistant to deliver helpful customer service, support daily sales and keep the store looking its best. You’ll be trained from the beginning and supported as you build your confidence.

The Role at a Glance

• Job type: Full-time
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Additional hours: Optional Saturdays
• Pay: Guaranteed base pay plus bonus incentives
• Training: Full retail, product and till training
• Start date: Immediate

Your First Few Weeks

• Learn the store layout, product range and current promotions
• Shadow experienced colleagues during customer interactions
• Understand how to ask useful questions and make recommendations
• Learn how to use the till and process payments correctly
• Become familiar with returns, exchanges and store procedures
• Help replenish shelves and organise incoming stock
• Learn the expected customer service and presentation standards

Once You’re Settled In

• Welcome customers and offer help at the right time
• Understand what each customer is looking for
• Recommend suitable products and explain their benefits
• Answer questions about prices, availability and promotions
• Process purchases, returns and exchanges accurately
• Work towards clear individual and team sales goals
• Replenish products and maintain organised displays
• Support promotional changes and new product launches
• Help with deliveries, stock checks and general store tasks
• Keep the shop floor clean, welcoming and ready for customers
