Retail Assistant

This full-time permanent role is ideal for someone looking to get into the tourism industry, or someone keen to hone their skills and experience in a front facing customer service-based position and you will be one of the many faces our visitors encounter while on their journey of Hobbiton, the willingness to go the extra mile is essential to ensure they have a memorable and authentic experience. You’ll be a great communicator and enjoy working in a team environment, with excellent time management skills, being organized and have an ability to prioritize tasks.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities Include:

• Being customer focused, providing friendly, knowledgeable customer service with strong attention to detail
• Supporting management while working in a hands-on capacity
• Assist with customers issues and complaints and any phone enquiries are dealt with politely and efficiently
• The ability to complete administrative tasks as required and able to open and securely close the Retail shop at the end of each day
• Maintain effective communication between departments, colleagues, and customers
• Have previous experience in E-Commerce (advantageous)
• Assisting with replenishing stock on shelves, help with pricing, knowledge of products, and maintaining attractive displays

We’re seeking team members who are:

• Minimum of at least 2-3 years' experience in a similar role (essential)
• Experience in leading a team; communicate, solve problems, and motivate your team members (advantageous)
• Is confident, reliable, and well organized
• Has a positive can-do attitude, Enthusiastic, and friendly
• Able to work hard and think on their feet
• Proactive and passionate about delivering an authentic Hobbiton experience
• Adaptability - staying calm during busy periods
• Physical Stamina-ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weight
• LCQ and Duty Manager certification are desirable

This position is for Permanent Full Time Employment and includes working one day on the weekend, and public holidays.

Since we are located slightly off the beaten track your own reliable transport is essential.

Daily staff lunches and first class training are also provided.
