We're looking for a Retail Assistant to join our Southend-on-Sea team. You'll work directly with customers, represent well-known brands and develop experience across customer engagement and sales.

This isn't a traditional shop-floor position. There are no tills, stockrooms or shelf-stacking. Instead, you'll take the people skills used in retail into a more sales-focused, customer-facing environment.

Day to Day

Expect plenty of variety and plenty of conversations.

You'll spend your day:

• Meeting and speaking with new customers
• Getting to know what they're looking for
• Introducing relevant products and services
• Answering questions and handling customer queries
• Turning customer interest into sales
• Representing brands confidently and professionally
• Working alongside a lively team towards shared targets

If you've worked in retail, supermarkets, fashion, hospitality, leisure or another customer-facing environment, you'll probably recognise many of the skills involved.

Move Beyond the Shop Floor

This role can help you turn everyday people skills into valuable commercial experience.

You'll receive training in sales, communication, customer engagement and brand representation, alongside one-to-one coaching and regular feedback.
