Retail Assistant

1.     Converse with customers to identify their purchasing requirements and assist with desired items

2.     Provide customers with essential product information

3.     Direct customers to the appropriate section where they can find their product choice

4.     Provide solutions or replies to address customers’ problems or inquiries

5.     To monitor displayed products to facilitate the replenishment of emptied shelves

6.     Oversee the upkeep, maintenance and general cleanliness of the outlet

7.     Receive new shipments and ensure proper storage

8.     Maintain up-to-date knowledge of store products and services to conduct sales effectively.

9.     Upsell to increase sales and maximise company profits

10.  Arrange and label goods on the display shelves

11.  Manage the point-of-sale (POS) process

12.  Collect cash payments and process credit card transactions for the purchase of goods.

13.  Be attentive to customers, providing answers to any questions

14.  Make recommendations to the customer

15.  Restock any items that are running low

16.  Inventory counts and placement of every item

17.  Ensure customers are well-informed on promotions

18.  Making and serving drinks to customers
