Retail Assistant

Operational Excellence:

·        Receive goods and ensure that goods delivered tally with the delivery order.

·        Put away goods in the storeroom or display the goods received on the racks in the outlet after tagging the price labels.

·        Handle product recalls, assist with placement of goods orders, refunds, exchanges or cancellation.

·        Ensure there is no blockage of passageway by boxes or goods between racks.

·        Assist Outlet Supervisor to monitor the sales of goods; report slow/fast moving goods and goods with low inventory in the outlet.

· Assist Outlet Supervisor in looking out for shoplifting in the outlet.

·        Display merchandise in a manner that is easy for customers to see and retrieve and look out for safety lapses that might affect customers.

·        Be flexible during shortage of manpower so as to maintain and ensure smooth store operations.

·        Perform housekeeping duties (such as regular cleaning and sanitizing) to ensure hygiene standard of entire outlet (including products) is upheld.

·        Answer phone calls in the outlet.

· Strive to achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets set by the Management.

Deliver Customer Service Excellence:

·        Be polite to customers.

·        Initiate assistance to customers by understanding their needs before making product recommendations or providing/suggesting appropriate solutions.

·        Resolve product/service problems by clarifying customers’ complaints, determining the cause of problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure timely resolution.

·        Follow company’s retail communication procedures, guidelines and policies.

·        Highlight problematic areas and provide/suggest solutions for customer service-related improvements.

Cashiering:

·        Assist customers with purchase payments and alert them to promotions whereby customers can top up purchases to qualify.

·        Ensure the tally of opening float and the daily collection is accurate; to alert Outlet Supervisor if any discrepancy is discovered.

Other Duties

·        Any other tasks assigned by the Management.
