About Us

We operate a busy retail store in London where high presentation standards and thoughtful customer care are central to our daily operations. We are looking for a reliable Retail Assistant to join our shop floor team.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers, answer enquiries, and assist with product selections.
• Operate the till accurately, handling transactions and processing returns.
• Receive stock deliveries, check inventory, and manage stockroom organisation.
• Restock shelves and maintain visual merchandising standards throughout the day.
• Conduct regular stock checks and ensure display areas remain clean and tidy.
• Provide polite customer assistance during peak trading hours.
• Collaborate with store colleagues to support daily operational routines.

Candidate Profile

Previous retail experience is a plus, but not essential as full training is provided. We welcome candidates with backgrounds in customer service, hospitality, food service, or similar team environments.

Required Qualities:

• Friendly communication skills and a helpful approach.
• Strong attention to detail for merchandising and stock control.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to stay calm and focused during busy periods.
• Basic numeracy skills.

Training and Development

• Practical on-the-job training covering inventory, till systems, and visual standards.
• Regular feedback sessions with store management.
• Opportunities to progress into senior associate or supervisor roles.
