Retail Assistant

N S Mann Limited is seeking a Retail Assistant to join its team at a liquor store located in Hamilton. The role involves supporting the Management in the smooth day-to-day operation of the business and ensuring effective store performance. The ideal candidate will be reliable, customer-focused, and capable of working in a busy retail environment while contributing to overall business success.

Key Duties:

• Provide customer service and product information to assist with purchases.
• Replenish shelves and ensure products are neatly displayed and adequately stocked.
• Monitor product quality by checking expiry dates and rotating stock.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and process cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately.
• Receive deliveries, check incoming stock, and organise items in storage and display areas.
• Maintain store cleanliness and ensure shelves, counters, and aisles are tidy and well presented.
• Assist with setting up promotional displays and in-store offers.
• Check pricing and update shelf labels to ensure accuracy.
• Work collaboratively with team members to support smooth and efficient store operations.
• Follow company procedures and comply with health and safety requirements, including reporting hazards.

The candidate will be required to work at least 30 hours per week and be paid between $24 to $27 per hour.

Other Important Requirements:

• Relevant work experience will be preferred but not mandatory as we provide full training.
• Available to work on weekends
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.

• Strong ability to multitask in a busy work environment.
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $24.00 – $27.00 per hour
