Duties

• Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS system management
• Lead, motivate, and supervise retail staff to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service
• Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and, merchandising to maximize product availability and presentation
• Conduct employee training & development sessions to enhance team skills and performance
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints efficiently, and ensure a positive shopping experience
• Assist with recruiting efforts through interviewing candidates and participating in hiring decisions
• Implement sales strategies, pricing adjustments, and promotional activities to boost store revenue and customer engagement

Skills

• Proven management experience in retail or sales environments with supervisory responsibilities
• Strong leadership abilities coupled with excellent communication skills for effective managerial communication
• Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and basic bookkeeping practices
• Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, budgeting, and operational management to optimize store performance
• Demonstrated expertise in retail math, cash handling, and stock control procedures
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and manage time effectively
• Experience in training staff on retail industry sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service standards
• Familiarity with retail industry sales team management practices including shift management and sales management strategies
• Strong interpersonal skills for supervising teams and engaging with customers professionally
