retail assistant manager

Job Responsibilities

Assist the management in overseeing daily supermarket operations.

Monitor sales performance, promotions, pricing and sales targets.

Supervise staff, prepare work schedules and coordinate daily duties.

Manage inventory, purchasing, stock replenishment and supplier relationships.

Coordinate accounts-related matters, sales records, expenses and business reports.

Analyse sales and inventory reports to improve operational efficiency.

Monitor stock movement, product expiry dates and minimise wastage.

Handle customer feedback and resolve operational issues.

Ensure compliance with relevant business, food safety and workplace requirements.

Assist management in business planning, budgeting and operational improvements.

Requirements

Relevant experience in retail or supermarket operations.

Good knowledge of inventory management, purchasing, sales reporting and basic accounting.

Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.

Proficient in computerised inventory, POS and reporting systems.

Able to manage multiple operational responsibilities independently.
