About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Assistant Retail Store Manager to support the overall management and daily operations of a FirstCry retail store in Haldwani. The candidate will assist the Store Manager in achieving sales targets, managing staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

• Assist the Store Manager in managing day-to-day store operations.
• Ensure smooth functioning of the store and adherence to company SOPs.
• Monitor store opening/closing, housekeeping, grooming, and overall store standards.
• Ensure proper product display, merchandising, pricing, and replenishment.
• Coordinate with the warehouse/team for stock availability and movement.

Sales & Target Achievement

• Support achievement of daily, monthly, and annual sales targets.
• Monitor individual team performance and motivate staff to achieve targets.
• Drive upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
• Track sales performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure excellent customer service and customer satisfaction.

Team Management

• Assist in managing, guiding, and motivating the sales team.
• Allocate duties and monitor staff productivity.
• Support training and onboarding of new team members.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, grooming, and discipline.
• Handle basic employee-related issues and escalate them when required.

Inventory Management

• Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
• Support stock audits, cycle counts, inward/outward processes, and inventory reconciliation.
• Minimize stock discrepancies, damages, and losses.
• Ensure proper storage and organization of merchandise.

Customer Service

• Handle customer queries, complaints, exchanges, and escalations professionally.
• Ensure a smooth and positive shopping experience.
• Build strong customer relationships and encourage repeat business.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with experience in organized retail, baby & kids retail, fashion/apparel, lifestyle, footwear, department stores, or other high-footfall retail formats will be preferred.

Eligibility

• Graduate preferred.
• 2–4 years of relevant retail experience.
• Experience in handling a retail team/store operations will be preferred.
• Strong customer-handling and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a target-driven retail environment.
• Presentable personality and professional grooming.

Salary

As per experience and interview performance.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
