Position Summary

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience and supporting the daily sales and merchandising activities of the CardsHQ store. This position serves as a primary point of contact for customers and helps create an engaging, knowledgeable, and welcoming environment for collectors of all experience levels.

Retail Sales Associates assist customers with products, process transactions, maintain the sales floor, replenish merchandise, support promotions and events, and help ensure every customer interaction reflects the CardsHQ brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable, and professional service.
• Assist customers in locating products and understanding available merchandise.
• Develop working knowledge of sports cards, TCG, sealed products, collectibles, hobby supplies, and other CardsHQ merchandise.
• Operate point-of-sale systems and accurately process purchases, returns, and other transactions.
• Support store sales goals, promotions, product releases, and special events.
• Maintain clean, organized, stocked, and customer-ready sales areas.
• Replenish merchandise from designated inventory locations as needed.
• Assist with merchandising, displays, pricing, signage, and promotional changes.
• Direct customers requiring specialized buying, valuation, or high-value product assistance to the appropriate Buyer or leader.
• Follow cash-handling, loss-prevention, security, and customer-service procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing responsibilities as assigned.
• Support card shows, releases, events, and other high-volume business activities.
• Provide reasonable support to Stocking and Inventory teams during deliveries, peak periods, and other business needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous retail, sales, hospitality, or customer-service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused and comfortable engaging with a wide variety of customers.
• Ability to learn POS and other store systems.
• Interest in sports cards, TCG, collectibles, sports, or the hobby is preferred but not required.
• Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required.
