We're hiring a Retail Associate to join our Manchester team, working on customer-focused sales and promotional campaigns.

You'll spend your day speaking with customers, getting to know what they're interested in and helping them understand the products and offers available. You'll be expected to take initiative, ask the right questions and contribute to sales—not simply wait for customers to approach you.

If you like talking to people, can think on your feet and want a job where you can see the results of your effort, this is worth considering.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

• Approaching customers and starting natural, helpful conversations
• Finding out what matters to each customer before making recommendations
• Explaining products, pricing and promotional offers clearly
• Answering questions and addressing customer concerns
• Helping interested customers complete purchases or sign-ups
• Keeping up to date with product information and campaign changes
• Working with colleagues to achieve sales and customer service targets

The role is centred on customer engagement and promotional sales, rather than traditional shop-floor duties such as operating tills or replenishing shelves.

What You'll Need

You don't need an extensive retail background, but you should be comfortable speaking to people and taking responsibility for your work.

We're looking for someone who:

• Can hold a conversation and listen without rushing people
• Explains things clearly without relying on a script
• Has the confidence to approach new customers
• Remains professional when someone isn't interested
• Pays attention to details and follows through on tasks
• Responds well to coaching and constructive feedback
• Works well with others while managing their own responsibilities

This is an entry-level opportunity, with training provided.

What You'll Learn

You'll start by understanding the products and services you'll represent, including the questions customers commonly ask and how to explain the available options.

From there, you'll develop your approach to customer conversations, learn how to handle objections and build confidence in supporting sales.

You'll also gain experience working towards clear objectives, reviewing your performance and identifying what you can improve.
