About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Associate (Full Time) to join our team in Singapore. This is a full-time position based in-store, where you will play a crucial role in delivering an outstanding shopping experience to our customers. As a Retail Associate, you will be the face of the New Balance brand, helping customers find the perfect products whilst driving sales and building lasting relationships. Your passion for athletic wear and genuine desire to help others will be essential to your success in this role.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide expert product knowledge to help them select appropriate footwear and apparel
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using retail point-of-sale systems
• Maintain an organised and visually appealing store environment, including stock rotation, merchandise displays and cleanliness
• Receive, unpack and log incoming stock, ensuring accurate inventory management
• Identify customer needs and make personalised product recommendations to drive sales and customer satisfaction
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints and returns professionally and courteously
• Achieve individual and store sales targets whilst maintaining high standards of customer service
• Support the store team in executing promotional campaigns and seasonal initiatives
• Comply with all company policies, procedures and health and safety regulations

What we're looking for

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred, with a strong track record of delivering excellent customer service
• Passion for athletic footwear, sportswear or the New Balance brand
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers naturally and effectively
• Strong numeracy skills and ability to handle cash and card transactions accurately
• Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays as required by the store schedule
• A positive attitude, reliability and commitment to meeting team and store objectives
• Proficiency in English; additional languages of your mother tongue are advantageous
• Comfortable with using retail technology and point-of-sale systems
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift merchandise as needed
