About the Position

SLA Worldwide is seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, and customer-focused Retail Beauty Associate to join our team at Union Station in Washington, DC.

The ideal candidate has a strong interest and/or experience in cosmetics, skincare, beauty products, and personal careand enjoys helping customers find products that fit their individual needs.

This position combines retail sales, customer service, product knowledge, and beauty expertise. The Retail Beauty Associate will create a welcoming shopping experience, educate customers on products, provide personalized recommendations, maintain an attractive sales floor, and support overall store sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide exceptional, personalized customer service.
• Assist customers with selecting cosmetics, skincare, and beauty products.
• Use knowledge of skincare, cosmetics, ingredients, and product benefits to make appropriate recommendations.
• Educate customers on product features, benefits, application, and proper use.
• Stay current on beauty trends, new products, promotions, and product launches.
• Build relationships with customers and encourage repeat business.
• Recommend complementary products and identify opportunities for additional sales.
• Meet or exceed individual and store sales goals.
• Accurately process purchases, returns, exchanges, and other transactions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor.
• Restock merchandise and assist with inventory management.
• Ensure products are properly displayed, organized, and priced.
• Assist with receiving and organizing merchandise.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with team members to support daily operations.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent SLA Worldwide positively.

Qualifications

• Previous retail, cosmetics, skincare, beauty, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cosmetics, skincare, and beauty products.
• Ability to confidently explain product features, ingredients, and benefits.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable approaching customers and initiating conversations.
• Strong sales and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Reliable, professional, and dependable.
• Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
