Founded by cosmetic chemist Alanna Tran, BiotechBeauty proves that high-performance color, sensitive-skin safety, and rigorous scientific standards can coexist. Alanna leads the brand’s product formulation and clinical testing, with a focus on creating complexion-enhancing products for sensitive and acne-prone skin.

We are seeking an experienced, sales-driven Retail Brand Ambassador to represent BiotechBeauty at Credo Beauty’s Portland location. This partner will introduce clients to the brand through personalized consultations, makeup application, product education, and thoughtful relationship-building with the Credo store teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, personalized customer experiences that drive strong retail sales and build brand loyalty
• Proactively approach and engage clients rather than waiting for customers to discover the brand
• Introduce BiotechBeauty products through shade matching, makeup application, and customized product recommendations
• Clearly communicate the brand’s science-backed, skin-first positioning in an approachable and engaging way
• Nurture positive, collaborative relationships with Credo store teams to build brand goodwill and strengthen their confidence in BiotechBeauty product knowledge, cross-selling, and basket-building
• Assist customers in building their basket with the full store assortment, while identifying natural opportunities to incorporate BiotechBeauty products into their routines
• Complete our shift recap through Google Sheets promptly after every shift to maintain a strong feedback loop and monitor store testers, low inventory, and out-of-stock products during each shift
• Participate in ongoing product education, training sessions, new product launches, store events, and masterclasses as needed
• Represent BiotechBeauty professionally and resolve customer concerns with warmth, discretion, and sound judgment

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to meet sales goals and confidently initiate customer conversations
• Previous cosmetics retail sales and makeup artistry experience is required, with an emphasis on shade-matching, product demonstration, and makeup application skills
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with retailer store teams
• Reliable, organized, communicative, and consistent with scheduled shifts and post-shift reporting
• Able to translate scientific and skincare concepts into clear, customer-friendly language
• Passion for beauty, skincare, and delivering an elevated customer experience (interest in clean and sensitive-skin-friendly beauty is preferred but not required)
• Available for approximately two 4-hour shifts per week, primarily Thursday through Sunday
• Able to support Credo Beauty’s Portland location
• Available for occasional launch events, team trainings, and special retail activations
