Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide engaging product demos to highlight new or popular items
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling
• Assist customers with their selections, upselling complementary products to enhance their experience
• Stock shelves regularly, ensuring products are well-organized, attractive, and replenished promptly
• Maintain accurate cash drawer handling and perform basic math calculations during transactions
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about store products and store policies using professional phone etiquette when needed
• Conduct merchandising activities to create eye-catching displays that promote sales and seasonal items

Requirements

• Previous retail sales experience, preferably in grocery or specialty stores such as candy shops
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in managing team members or shifts
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is essential for smooth transactions
• Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customers effectively
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and upselling techniques
• Ability to handle cash handling duties accurately and responsibly, including cash drawer management and basic math skills
• Experience with stocking shelves, product demos, and retail math to ensure proper inventory levels
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
