Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions and cash handling
• Assist customers with product demos, answering questions to enhance their understanding and satisfaction
• Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store is visually appealing through effective merchandising
• Conduct upselling by recommending additional products to meet customer needs and increase sales
• Maintain phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely
• Manage cash register operations, including cash drawer handling and balancing at shift end
• Support inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and reporting low inventory levels
• Demonstrate strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and assist in training new staff when needed

Experience

• Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery or similar store environments
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math calculations
• Experience in product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
• Strong phone etiquette skills for professional remote communication
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge and grocery store operations enhances performance in this role

Pay: From $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 30.0 per week
