Retail Executive

1. Retail Operations

• Supervise the daily operations of the Essentials outlet

• Ensure shelves are fully stocked, clean, and attractively merchandised

• Monitor product quality, freshness, and expiry dates

• Maintain high housekeeping and food safety standards

1. Member Service

• Deliver exceptional customer service to Club members and guests

• Assist members in locating products and recommending suitable alternatives

• Handle member enquiries, requests, and feedback professionally

• Resolve service issues promptly to maintain member satisfaction

1. Inventory & Stock Management

• Monitor stock levels and replenish merchandise.

• Conduct stock counts and inventory reconciliation.

• Coordinate with Purchasing on replenishment and special orders.

• Minimize stock losses through proper inventory control and shrinkage prevention.

• Oversees a wide range of products including: Imported American groceries, Fresh meats and seafood, Dairy, Frozen foods, Bakery, Confectionery, Snacks, Beverages, Household Essentials, Seasonal and Festive merchandise

• Laundry and dry-cleaning service coordination through the Essentials outlet with vendor

1. Merchandising

• Execute promotional displays and seasonal merchandising

• Ensure pricing and product labels are accurate

• Maintain attractive displays for imported American products, gourmet foods, beverages, and specialty merchandise for the club

1. Sales Performance

• Drive sales through product recommendations and upselling

• Monitor sales trends and identify opportunities to improve revenue

• Support promotional campaigns, festive events, and new product launches

1. Cashiering & Administration

• Oversee POS transactions and ensure accurate transactional handling

• Prepare daily sales reports and perform cashier reconciliations

• Process returns and exchanges according to Club policies

1. Team Leadership

• Supervise Retail Assistants during shifts

• Train new team members on SOPs and service standards

• Allocate daily tasks and ensure operational efficiency

• Foster teamwork and maintain high morale

1. Supplier & Receiving

• Receive and inspect deliveries, verify quantities and product quality against purchase orders

• Report discrepancies or damaged goods to Purchasing

1. Compliance

• Ensure compliance with food safety, workplace safety, and Club policies

• Support internal audits and monthly inventory audits.

1. Continuous Improvement

• Recommend new products based on member demand

• Identify opportunities to improve merchandising and operational efficiency

• Support initiatives to increase sales and enhance the member shopping experience

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a relevant retail/service industry, with demonstrated supervisory experience

• Exposure to different product categories including groceries, merchandise, sports apparels and accessories is an advantage

• Hospitality-centric

• Eye for details, organized and composed

• High-energy and hands-on team player

• Strong written and communication skills

• Proficient in Point of Sales System and Microsoft Office applications

• Able to work on rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays
