Retail Grocery Assistant

We are looking for a motivated, reliable, and customer-focused Retail Grocery Store Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a friendly personality, a strong work ethic, and a passion for providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Replenish shelves and ensure products are well-stocked, organised, and attractively displayed.
• Monitor product freshness and check expiry dates.
• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the store.
• Receive, unpack, and store incoming deliveries.
• Provide product information and assist customers in locating items.
• Operate the checkout and handle cash/card transactions accurately (if required).
• Follow all health, safety, and food handling procedures.

Key Requirements

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Friendly, reliable, and hardworking with a positive attitude.
• Good knowledge of Indian, Nepali, Fijian, and Pakistani grocery products.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and good time management skills.
• Previous retail or grocery store experience is an advantage.
• Ideally 1–2 years of relevant experience; however, enthusiastic and quick learners are encouraged to apply.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and perform manual handling tasks.
