Retail Manager – Fresh Fruits

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on and sales-driven Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our fresh fruit retail outlet.

This role is responsible for ensuring our fruits are fresh, well-presented and properly managed while driving sales, controlling wastage and delivering excellent customer service.

What You'll Be Doing

• Manage the overall daily operations of the fresh fruit retail outlet.
• Monitor fruit quality, freshness, ripeness and shelf life daily.
• Ensure proper FIFO/FEFO rotation to minimise spoilage and wastage.
• Plan fruit ordering based on sales movement, stock levels and customer demand.
• Monitor slow-moving and fast-moving fruits and take action accordingly.
• Control fruit wastage, damages, markdowns and stock losses.
• Ensure accurate receiving, stock count and inventory records.
• Maintain attractive fruit displays, pricing and merchandising.
• Plan fruit promotions, bundles, seasonal offers and clearance activities.
• Drive daily, weekly and monthly retail sales targets.
• Lead, supervise and train retail staff.
• Ensure staff have good fruit knowledge and are able to recommend products to customers.
• Monitor packing quality and presentation of fruit boxes and customer orders.
• Handle customer enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally.
• Monitor cashier operations, daily collections and sales reconciliation.
• Prepare sales, stock, wastage and operational reports for management.
• Maintain store cleanliness, hygiene and food handling standards.
• Work closely with Purchasing, Warehouse and Marketing teams to ensure sufficient and suitable stock.
• Continuously identify ways to improve sales, stock turnover and store profitability.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2–3 years of retail experience, preferably in fresh fruits, fresh produce, supermarket, grocery or F&B.
• Good knowledge of fruit quality, freshness and stock handling is an advantage.
• Strong leadership and staff management skills.
• Good understanding of inventory and wastage control.
• Sales-driven and commercially minded.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Responsible, organised and hands-on.
• Able to work independently and solve daily operational issues.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced fresh produce environment.
