Retail Operations Manager / Assistant Manager

Key responsibilities

·       Responsible for POS sales and operational performance, driving performance improvements through improved merchandising, restocking pace, promotional execution, service experience and operational efficiency

·       Support and monitor daily store operations including merchandising, restocking, price tags, cashier processes, inventory counts, store cleanliness and service standards, ensuring accuracy and consistency

·       Monitor sales and inventory status, propose or assist in implementing improvement solutions to reduce stockouts and losses, and improve inventory turnover

·       Ensure all POS operate in accordance with company policies, SOPs, operational guidelines, and brand standards.

·       Develop, review, update, and implement SOPs to drive operational consistency and efficiency.

·       Conduct regular store audits and operational assessments.

·       Customer relationship management which would include occasional POS visits to ensure smooth operational and sales activities.

·       Support new POS openings, system implementations, and operational initiatives through training and coaching.

·       Ensure optimum use of space, appropriate level of stock on hand, allocation of stock within and across area to minimise out of stock and maximize sale.

·       Interpret and analyse sales information to maximise sales, profits, and cost control feedback recommendation to regional manager and buying team.

·       Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by supervisor

Requirements

·       Secondary school graduation / diploma or above

·       Retail or POS-related experience preferred

·       Performance-oriented with practical methods and ideas for increasing sales, improving store execution and customer experience

·       Careful and responsible, willing to get hands-on, traveling on site and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

·       Good communication and teamwork skills, able to adapt to on-site pace and execution requirements

·       Good Cantonese communication ability; Mandarin/English proficiency a plus

·       Able to work rotating shifts and weekends/public holidays as required by store needs; some work may require external store visits

·       Experience in new POS setup / opening processes is a priority consideration

·       Minimum 3 years' experience in retail industry with chain stores and FMCG industry preferred
