RETAIL OPERATIONS MANAGER

About the role

A Retail Operations Manager overseeing a portfolio of multiples fashion and lifestyle stores bridges high-level corporate strategy and ground-level execution, ensuring brand consistency, operational efficiency, and peak revenue performance across all brick-and-mortar locations.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and monitor sales targets, conversion rates, basket sizes, and operating expenses (OpEx) across all outlets to maximize profitability
• Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) relating to cash handling, inventory control, loss prevention, opening/closing protocols, and daily store audits
• Coach and mentor Store Managers and Assistant Managers. Oversee multi-outlet manpower planning, roster scheduling, talent retention, and performance appraisals
• Act as the critical link between retail boutiques and backend warehousing/logistics to manage stock replenishment, seasonal rollouts, stock-takes, and inter-store transfers
• Ensure corporate visual merchandising (VM) guidelines, window displays, and promotional campaigns are executed uniformly to reflect the brand's lifestyle positioning
• Liaise directly with major mall leasing and operations management regarding tenancy compliance, fit-outs, maintenance, and marketing tie-ins

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Retail Operations, Supply Chain, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of retail management experience, with at least 3 years successfully managing multiple doors (multi-unit or cluster management) within fashion, footwear, beauty, or lifestyle retail
• Strong financial acumen with proven experience managing retail profit and loss (P&L) statements and KPI analytics
• Proficiency in retail POS systems, inventory management software, and workforce scheduling tools
• In-depth understanding of local retail labor laws (e.g., Employment Act) and mall leasing environments
• High-energy leadership with strong conflict resolution and team motivation capabilities
• Exceptional operational agility to troubleshoot urgent store-level bottlenecks across multiple geographic locations
