What they need
Be a part of our mission. Goodwill Northern New England is a nonprofit social enterprise that helps people achieve their life and work goals. Our stores sell affordable goods donated by members of communities across our three states. In addition to providing flexible, stable jobs, our warehouse and store employees divert 50+ million pounds of donated goods from landfills annually.
The Retail Outlet Cashier must be able to use a cash register POS and scales to complete all customer transactions. Cashiers are also responsible for correct draw amounts and cash tendering to customers. Cashiers must be able to reconcile drawers at the end of each shift.
Prior warehouse and/or equipment experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
All candidates should be over the age of 18 and will undergo a pre-employment background check.
The Goodwill Citizenship behaviors guide the way we act toward each other, our customers, and our clients. They are embedded in who we are. Be kind. Be open. Be consistent. Be flexible. Listen to understand. Speak up. Offer praise. Own it.
Goodwill counts on our employees to represent the Agency in all interactions with other members of the Goodwill community and with the public. Employees supporting the agency’s vision of creating sustainable communities that thrive through the fullest participation of their diverse residents is paramount to our mission. We look for candidates that are committed to integrating social, economic, and environmental goals into thinking, planning and actions.
