Hospice Whanganui is implementing an exciting and innovative new retail model that will transform our Hospice Whanganui Charity Shops into sought-after destinations in our community. We are making these changes now to ensure that our fundraising from our shops continues to sustain our free 24/7 specialist palliative care service to our region for many years to come.

And we’re looking for an exceptional Project Manager to help bring our vision to life!

About the Role

This is a hands-on, ten-month opportunity to take an exciting project from action plan to reality.

You’ll lead the implementation of our new retail model, ensuring key milestones are delivered on time and bringing your ideas, energy and leadership to every stage of the project.

You’ll also lead three direct reports and coordinate our valued team of volunteers, creating a positive environment where people can thrive and contribute.

We’re Looking for Someone Who:

✔ Has proven project or operational management experience
✔ Is highly organised, practical and solutions-focused
✔ Can turn plans into action and deliver results
✔ Has experience leading staff and/or volunteers
✔ Is confident managing competing priorities and deadlines
✔ Has excellent communication and people skills
✔ Brings creativity, initiative, and a positive leadership style
✔ Has retail, customer service, community, or not-for-profit experience
✔ Is comfortable working independently and taking ownership
✔ Shares our commitment to the purpose and values of Hospice Whanganui
