We are expanding our team and are looking for a welcoming, reliable Retail Sales Assistant to deliver great service on the shop floor.

Your Role on the Floor

As a Retail Sales Assistant, you will be the face of our Glasgow store, ensuring every customer has a positive experience. Your day-to-day work will involve:

• Welcoming customers to the store and offering assistance when needed.
• Answering product questions and guiding customers toward options that suit their needs.
• Processing sales, returns, and exchanges accurately using our till system.
• Unpacking deliveries, checking stock numbers, and keeping stockroom spaces organized.
• Merchandising displays to keep products well-presented and visually appealing.
• Monitoring stock levels on the shop floor and replenishing items throughout the day.
• Handling customer queries or product issues in a calm, helpful manner.
• Assisting with periodic stock counts and store tidying at the start or end of shifts.

Who Will Suit This Role

You don't need a background in high-end retail to succeed here, but you do need a positive attitude and a practical approach to work. We look for:

• An approachable manner and comfortable, polite communication skills.
• Good attention to detail, especially when handling transactions and stocking shelves.
• A steady work ethic and the ability to stay focused when the floor gets busy.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a flexible approach to working store hours.
• Basic numeracy and comfort using electronic EPOS till systems.
• Previous experience in retail, customer service, hospitality, or supermarket work is a plus, but not essential as full training is provided.

Skills Development

We believe in supporting our staff so you can feel confident on the shop floor from day one.

You’ll start with structured floor-based training alongside an experienced colleague, covering everything from our product catalog to till operation and stock control. You’ll have regular check-ins with the store supervisor to talk through how you're getting on and answer any questions. As you get comfortable with the range, you'll have opportunities to get involved in visual merchandising, floor coordination, and assisting with team shift planning.
