Retail Sales Assistant

About the role

Are you passionate about customer service and delivering an exceptional shopping experience? We are looking for a dedicated Retail Sales Assistant to join our premium jewellery store team in the heart of Hobart. This is a casual position, with fulltime or flexible hours available for the right candidate.

What you'll be doing

• Providing exceptional customer service and a premium in-store experience
• Assisting customers with product selection, answering queries and completing sales transactions
• Consulting with customers on jewellery repairs, liasing with jewellers and providing correct and succinct information on job packets as requested
• Maintaining high standards of presentation and visual merchandising
• Processing cash and card payments, and managing the till
• Restocking and replenishing store inventory as required
• Adhering to store policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the business
• Social media marketing and visual representation

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a customer-facing retail role, preferably in the jewellery industry
• Minimum of 2+ years retail experience required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with customers and provide exceptional service
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of presentation
• Experience with social media and website interaction, photographic abilities and/or marketing talents
• The ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive store culture
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including Saturdays, as required
• Australian work rights are required for this position
