Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting lawn care, gardening, and landscape maintenance products.
• Provide expert advice on plant identification, floral design, and outdoor equipment to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cashiering, cash handling, and processing transactions efficiently.
• Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves with seasonal plants, gardening tools, and outdoor accessories.
• Support inventory management through stocking, inventory checks, and replenishing products to ensure availability.
• Engage with customers over the phone to answer questions about products or services related to outdoor work and horticulture.
• Assist in floral arrangements or garden setup demonstrations when needed to showcase product versatility.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for outdoor work and gardening is essential.
• Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, horticulture, or floral design will be highly valued.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math ensures smooth transactions.
• Strong communication skills in English are necessary; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities.
• Outdoor work experience or hands-on gardening skills will help you excel in assisting customers with plant identification and garden planning.
• Organizational skills are important for managing stock levels, merchandising displays, and maintaining a clean store environment.
• A proactive attitude towards learning about e-commerce platforms related to gardening supplies is advantageous.
