Retail Sales Associate

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet customers promptly and professionally, creating a welcoming shopping environment

• Provide expert product recommendations based on customer needs, preferences and skin types

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all products, current promotions and pricing to assist customers effectively

• Demonstrate product features and benefits to customers, conducting product demonstrations when appropriate

• Restock shelves and maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure the store is neat, organised and visually appealing

• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and brand loyalty

• Assist in inventory management, including stock checks and reporting discrepancies

• Comply with all company policies, health and safety regulations, and loss prevention procedures

• Support the team with additional duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification as a minimum education requirement
• Previous retail or customer service experience, preferably in the beauty, cosmetics or consumer products industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers and build rapport
• Sales-focused mindset with proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
• Basic numeracy skills and proficiency with point-of-sale systems or willingness to learn quickly
• Excellent personal presentation and grooming standards, reflecting the beauty industry
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple customer interactions
• Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
• Passion for beauty products and genuine interest in helping customers find the right products for their needs
• Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards of customer service
