Role Overview:

We are hiring for a contract Retail Sales Associate position on-site. The role will be based at a furniture retail location and will involve direct interaction with customers. This position reports to the store manager and supports daily store operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers promptly and provide assistance throughout their shopping experience.

• Explain product features, specifications, and benefits to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.

• Process sales transactions accurately using the point‑of‑sale system, including cash handling and credit authorizations.

• Maintain the sales floor by organizing merchandise, restocking shelves, and ensuring displays are visually appealing.

• Address customer inquiries, resolve concerns, and follow up on service requests in a professional manner.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a retail environment, demonstrating the ability to meet sales targets and deliver quality service.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey product information clearly.

• Ability to operate point‑of‑sale hardware and software, including cash registers and inventory scanners.

• Familiarity with inventory management practices, such as receiving shipments and conducting stock counts.

• Demonstrated teamwork, collaborating with colleagues and supervisors to achieve store objectives.
