Role Overview:

The Retail Sales Associate guides store guests through their home furnishings shopping experience, helping them discover products, styles, and room solutions that fit their needs. The role combines customer service, home furnishings sales, sales order processing, credit and financing assistance, and store operations while contributing to sales goals and established performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver a high-quality customer experience by engaging with guests and providing courteous, respectful, and professional service.

• Maintain a welcoming, professional, and visible presence at the front desk while engaging with guests and representing the brand image.

• Guide customers through home furnishings products and styles and help them identify room solutions suited to their preferences.

• Accurately and efficiently process sales orders while following established cash-handling protocols.

• Assist customers with credit applications and financing matters as required.

• Maintain thorough documentation of sales transactions.

• Address customer concerns independently whenever possible.

• Assist with store opening and closing activities, including cash reconciliation and completion of daily checklists.

• Support inventory management and loss-prevention procedures, including participation in biannual inventory checks.

• Meet and exceed sales goals while aligning performance with established KPIs and performance standards.

• Complete additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Ability to lift, tug, and pull up to 25 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation where applicable.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• One year of customer service and/or sales experience preferred.

• Outgoing, friendly, and approachable interpersonal skills with the ability to interact comfortably with customers.

• Ability to communicate information clearly in a way that encourages customer action.

• Ability to develop and share fresh ideas that support customer engagement and sales activities.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

• Ability to communicate information in a motivating manner that prompts action.

• Ability to perform effectively in an environment focused on exceptional service and customer satisfaction.

• Reliable attendance and ability to meet scheduled work commitments.
