Retail Sales Associate

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers as they enter the store.
• Provide product knowledge and recommendations to customers based on their preferences and needs.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including restocking shelves and displays.
• Answer customer inquiries regarding product availability, usage, and pricing.
• Stay informed about new products, promotions, and industry trends.
• Uphold store policies and procedures, including age verification for tobacco sales.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and laws regarding the sale of tobacco and smoking-related products.
• Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and store objectives.
• Participate in inventory management activities, including receiving shipments and conducting stock counts.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in a smoke shop or similar environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of tobacco and smoking-related products is desirable.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions and handling cash.
• Familiarity with POS systems and other retail software is a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age for tobacco sales in your jurisdiction).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
